May 13th, 7:30pm to 9pm, South Coast Corinthian Yacht Club

PSSA is pleased to have planned a two-part discussion on shorthanded watchkeeping and sleep for our May and June meetings.

Part 1 in May will cover COLREGS Rule 5 and the implications for the shorthander, the use of aids such as AIS and radar alarms, radar reflectors, routines and scenarios.

Part 2 in June will cover the topic of sleep, including physiological and psychological needs for sleep, the impact of fragmented, delayed and truncated sleep, and implications for COLREGS and watchkeeping.
